The young one is holding a banana which it intends to stick through the bars to feed the captivated one. The captivated one strains to the top of the cage to make contact with the young one. It is a sad and touching gesture at the same time, and very human-like. The captivated one can't be let out anymore, because it will wander in the village and snack human food and drinks
