Punakaiki blowhole - Limestone layering
Dolomite Point on the West Coast of New Zealand's South island is known as the Pancake Rocks
originally the limestone was laid down in softer and harder layers and subsequent erosion has formed the spectacular layering or pancake effect. When a strong westerly sea is running spray shoots up through various blowholes.

AUS-1941 Swimming anemone - A beautiful, flower-like animal, frequently seen attached to corals and sea fans

Swimming anemone - A beautiful, flower-like animal, frequently seen attached to corals and sea fans. Some are striped, some are spotted, and some are pure white. Unlike many of their anemone-cousins who are firmly attached to the substrate, Swimming Anemones frequently move around. They travel from spot to spot via a form of jet propulsion, rapidly opening and closing the feathery tentacles that surround its mouth.
