After the canes (1) are cut (2), they are transported by oxcart (3) to the mill for grinding (4). Legend for presenting history and works of the German Order, weapons of the commander of Alden Biesen and two orderidders Glorification of the German Order, in particular of the land commander Alden Biesen (series title), A legend in Latin at a presentation of the history and works of the German Order, flanked by a knight (personification of the German Order) and a woman (personification of the Church). Among them is the coat of arms of the land commander of Alden Biesen (Hendrik van Wassenaer), flanked by that of equestrian chief / order leader Johann Hermann baron Spies von Bullesheim, and that of sub-tribune / order leader Damian Hugo, baron von Schonborn in Reichelsberg. This print is part of an extensive presentation, composed of 20 separate plates, of the history and works of the German Order (center) surrounded by representations of the Alden Biesen land commandery (below) and the associated command orders (left and right), military orders, eg: Knights Templars, Knights of Malta, Teutonic Knights, Roman Catholic church, armorial bearing, heraldry, the Church personified, 'Ecclesia', usually with chalice and banner, the Christian knight, 'Miles Christianus', Hendrik van Wassenaer, Johann Hermann baron Spies von Bullesheim, Damian Hugo Philipp (count of Schonborn and Reichelsberg), Romeyn de Hooghe, Haarlem, 1700, paper, engraving, h 344 mm ? w 510 mm
