Threshing chestnuts trees in Greenwich Park 1857

Yearly tradition, for three weeks young youths poured into Greenwich Park, London to collect conkers. Climbing up chestnut trees, even using ladders to reach their prize, hitting them down with long sticks with carts at the ready to collect the bundle. Date: October 1857
